General

What is Partake?
Partake is golf course management software. It covers the staff tee sheet, food and beverage point of sale, kitchen display, and a course-branded site where golfers book tee times and order food, plus food cost, CRM, reporting, and an AI manager.
Is Partake a tee sheet, a POS, or both?
Both. The tee sheet and the food and beverage POS share one guest record, so the golfer who booked the tee time is the same person on the check.
Who uses Partake?
Courses running Partake include Cowboys Golf Club, Signature of Solon Country Club, Grayhawk Golf Club, Angel Park, and Arcis Golf.
Is Partake veteran-founded?
Yes. Partake is a veteran-founded company.

Tee sheet

Can golfers book tee times online?
Yes. Golfers book on the course-branded site against the same tee sheet the shop runs, and get a confirmation by email or text.
Does the Partake tee sheet have a waitlist?
Yes. Staff keep a waitlist on the sheet and can offer an opened time to the golfers waiting for it.
Can we set rates by season and player type?
Yes. The tee sheet setup covers seasons, player types with their own booking rules, and green-fee rates for each, including cart items.
Does Partake handle leagues and standing tee times?
Yes. Standing tee times are set once for leagues and regular groups instead of being rebooked every week.
Can we take payment when a tee time is booked?
Yes. Staff can quote, take payment, and refund from the tee sheet, and golfers can pay when they book online.

Point of sale

Does the Partake POS work on an iPad?
Yes. The POS is a native iOS app for iPad and also runs in a web browser.
Can the beverage cart use Partake?
Yes. Cart staff sell from the POS on an iPad with a Stripe Terminal reader, count stock on a stand sheet at the start and end of the shift, and receive orders golfers place to their tee time.
Can staff open tabs and run tables?
Yes. Tab and table are two of the six dining modes, alongside pickup, delivery, fast close, and event. Tables can be laid out on a floor plan.
Can we split a check?
Yes. Staff split by seat or item on the POS. On the golfer site a group can choose Pay my items, Split evenly, or Host covers.
Can we charge a member’s account?
Yes. Staff look up the member and post the check to their account through Golf365, including reciprocal clubs.
Which card readers and printers work with Partake?
Partake uses Stripe Terminal card readers and Star Micronics receipt and kitchen printers, with cash drawers that open from the printer.
Can golfers order ahead for pickup at the halfway house?
Yes. Golfers can place a pickup order to an outpost such as the halfway house from the course site, and staff see it on the POS order board with that destination.
Can we track stock sent from the clubhouse to the cart?
Yes. Partake Costs records transfers between locations, and the cart’s stand sheet counts stock at the start and end of the shift and shows the discrepancy.
Does Partake open a cash drawer?
Yes. A cash drawer connected to a Star Micronics printer opens when staff take a cash payment on the POS.

Kitchen display

Does Partake have a kitchen display?
Yes. Any Partake device can run as a kitchen display, routed by station, with POS and online orders on the same screen.
Can the kitchen fire courses?
Yes. Meal courses fire automatically on a set timing or when the server fires the next course.
Does the kitchen display replace kitchen printers?
It can. Kitchens can run screens only, printers only, or both, since Partake prints fulfillment tickets to kitchen printers alongside the display.
Do online orders show up on the kitchen display?
Yes. Orders from the golfer site show up on the same kitchen screen as orders rung in at the POS, routed to the right station.

Golfer site

Do golfers need to download an app?
No. Golfers use the course’s own branded site in their phone’s browser to book tee times and order food.
Can golfers order food to their tee time?
Yes. On the golfer site an order can go out for pickup, to a table, to an address, or to the golfer’s tee time on the course. It lands on the same POS board the staff use.
Can a group order together and split the bill?
Yes. A golfer starts a group order from a share link or a table QR code, everyone adds their own items, and the group picks how to split the check.
Can guests check out without an account?
Yes. Guest checkout needs only a name, email, and phone. Golfers who want an account can sign in with Google, Apple, a passkey, or a phone code.
Can the golfer site use our own domain and branding?
Yes. The golfer site runs on the course’s own domain with its name, colors, and copy.

Food cost

Does Partake track food cost?
Yes. Partake Costs shows recipe and theoretical food cost against what the POS actually sold, alongside waste and inventory counts.
Can we manage vendors, purchase orders, and invoices?
Yes. Partake Costs covers vendors and vendor items, purchase orders, AP invoices, bill payments, transfers between locations, and reorder points.

CRM

Can we send email and text campaigns to guests?
Yes. Staff send email and text from Partake to guests whose profiles come from their bookings and checks, and can attach vouchers or promotions.

Reporting

What reports does Partake have?
Partake reports cover sales, transactions by tender, orders, ordered items, guests, and payouts, plus shift summaries. Filter by location, shift, employee, event, and date range.
Can we export reports to Excel or PDF?
Yes. Reports export to CSV and Excel, and sales and transaction reports also export to PDF. Finished reports are emailed and stay in the recently run list to download again.
Do reports include member charges?
Yes. The transactions report lists every payment by tender, including member charges, with the reciprocal club and member number when there is one.

AI manager

Does Partake have an AI assistant?
Yes. The Partake AI manager answers questions about sales, orders, shifts, menus, and guests from live data, and shows live widgets for the day.
Can the AI assistant change our data?
Only with approval. When a request would change something, the AI manager shows a confirmation card and waits for the manager to approve it.
Can we connect Partake to our own AI tools?
Yes. Partake runs a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in and scoped read and write access, so an AI tool that supports remote MCP servers can work with your Partake data.

Integrations and payments

Which payments does Partake take?
Partake runs on Stripe: cards online, Apple Pay and Google Pay, cards on file, and Stripe Terminal readers in person. Staff can also take cash and gift cards, and member charges post to Golf365.
Can we bring our own card processor?
No. Partake processes cards through Stripe, both online and on Stripe Terminal readers in person.
Does Partake work with EZ Links / Golf365?
Yes. Partake looks up members, posts member charges, accepts Golf365 gift cards, and posts food and beverage tickets back to Golf365.
Does Partake post to QuickBooks?
Yes. Partake connects to QuickBooks, maps sales to your GL accounts, and syncs sales, orders, payouts, and member charges.

Pricing

Can one account run several courses?
Yes. Enterprise puts many courses and outlets under one organization, with roles by property and reporting across locations.
How is Partake priced?
Pricing is scoped to the property: which products you turn on, how many courses and outlets you run, and how many devices you need. Pro is one course; Enterprise is a group of courses. Request a quote from partake.golf.

Security

Can we control what each staff member can do?
Yes. User roles and rights limit what each person can see and change, and an activity log records who changed what.
Who processes card payments in Partake?
Stripe. Card payments on the golfer site, Apple Pay and Google Pay, cards on file, and Stripe Terminal readers at the POS are all processed by Stripe.
